About Coach John
Coach John has been passionately coaching youth sports since 1995, dedicating his free time to helping young athletes grow both on and off the court. A lifelong tennis competitor, John played three years of Varsity Tennis at West Haven High School and went on to become a ten-time USTA tournament champion and a former nationally ranked USTA Men’s player.
With decades of playing and coaching experience, John works with athletes of all levels—from beginners to NCAA Division I players. He brings a personalized, high-energy approach to every session, helping students improve their game while building confidence and discipline.
John is a certified tennis professional through the Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) and serves as the owner and head instructor of JK Tennis Academy. He currently lives in Milford, CT with his wife, Melissa.

2024 West Haven Park Rec Tennis Clinics
Coach John is thrilled to bring tennis back to the West Haven Park Rec catalog of programs. He was instrumental in assisting the city secure a grant to build four new tennis courts at Painter Park.
